Did forgotten iPad code

Waaah! My dd has forgotten her iPad four digit code and so she's locked out. She's tried everything she can think of but she said she changed so her little brother couldn't use it... now she can't remember and didn't write it down. It's not connected to the family Apple account and our only option we can think of is to do a full reset, but then we'll loose all the photos and videos she's taken on the iPad :-( she's into making short films with her toys so we don't want to just delete it unless that's the only option

Hiya, OP. We can see you haven't had much luck posting this in Chat, so we'll move your thread over to our Tech Tips board now, in the hope someone there has some advice for you.

I think you can reset with Apple but it's a convoluted process and you need to have access to the email linked to the Apple id.
