As the title. Any suggestions please to protect my computer as my regular fee has become too expensive. I just can’t afford it.

I just use the built in windows one
Or avast
Never had any issues. Been about 10 years maybe more since I've had any sort of paid for firewall/antivirus

@Keroppi - Hmmmmm - I'm rather astonished by this

@Paperdolly - Free or cheap ad free virus protection?
Don't - Anti virus and Internet protection are definitely worth paying for.
I use F-Secure - in May I paid £108 for 24 months protection (including £84.97 package discount - (because I was renewing I think)) - £4.50 per month

F-Secure

@DanFmDorking why? Used to use malwarebytes and bitdefender when it was free.

As long as you're not silly enough to open dodgy .exes or use random sites windows defender is fine imo
I torrent stuff too 🤷‍♀️

Otherwise malwarebytes is decent enough free but just has a thousand pop ups.

@Keroppi - I was worried about you - the anti Virus that came with Windows before Windows 10 was regarded as a waste of time so I was rather very alarmed - however, I checked before typing this and it's a lot better now - I'm very pleased you're using Malwarebytes. You might like this.

Please, please be very careful - there are a lot of new, very nasty, things about particularly with AI being used to generate malware as well as detect it.

Best wishes anyway 🙂
