Hello
I recently read on a number of tech websites that after 7 years apple stops updating your phone and because it doesn’t get security updates anymore it should be replaced. Until now I had always thought you can just use the phone essentially until it dies/ stops working (I wasn’t aware of the 7 year rule). I have an iPhone 6s which works perfectly. Yes it doesn’t have the latest hardware or software but does what I need it to do and all the apps including banking g apps work just fine. My question is should I replace it because it doesn’t get security updates? Just wanted some real world advice on this.

thanks
