Is there a way to completely block someone on gmail?

Hello
As above . I have had abusive emails for a while and whilst I have blocked this person I am still tempted to look in spam.
Is there any way that I can completely block rather than changing my email?

Can you set up a filter that deletes it automatically?

Can you set up a filter that deletes it automatically?

That just means it sits in the "Bin" instead of the Spam folder for 30 days, so doesn't really help the OP not be able to still look for the message(s).

I don't think there's any way to set a filter or rule that forces an incoming message to bounce back in Gmail, unfortunately.

Thankyou @CobraChicken I thought not but I had a smidgen of hope that someone might know. It's a silly thing that you can't do this.

@Looking0nTheBrightSide thankyou but I have blocked but it still goes into spam. I want to block them completely because I am tempted to look in the spam folder. I know it sounds silly but I can't help it.

Yahoo mail lets you completely block someone. Gmail doesn't.
