Non-Bluetooth internet radio

Hi. Apologies for my complete lack of technology skills. I want to be able to listen to internet radio without using Bluetooth. Presently using an Sonos speaker with Alexa voice control, which rarely works. I just want to listen to BBC stations and Fip ( a French music station) without explaining myself endlessly to Alexa only to be told they cannot do this right now (the usual response). What product do I need? Thanks for any advice

I use a Google Home Mini to play radio. It works fine ("OK Google, play BBC Radio 4"). I don't have Sonos, but I know that it works with Sonos. It might feel a bit strange to have a different smart speaker just for this, but it's not very expensive.

Also +1 for FIP, just a breath of fresh air.
