How to convert photo ticket to PDF file?

Can anyone help me please? I need to sell 2 tickets to a gig as we are now unable to go. I've looked at Viagogo and Twickets but am unable to complete my listing as they require the tickets as PDF files.
I have here the printed e-tickets and photos of the e-tickets but cannot successfully convert to PDF. I'm a nurse, have never worked in an office so haven't a clue and unsure if the online free sites advertising this are safe (the tickets were not cheap).
Is it even possible to convert a photo (j-peg I think) to a PDF format?

You should be able to print to file (as opposed to printing to a printer), and select pdf as the file type option. It will likely default to pdf.

Lorna55 · 28/05/2024 02:47

Just to add - I can't sell them on Facebook or Ebay as it's not allowed and they will remove the listings. I've shared it on my own Facebook a couple of times but no joy so far. The gig is in early July and nearly sold out.

HappiestSleeping....thank you but I don't have them on file, all I have is the printed copies. My partner bought them ages ago and he can't get back into his account to ask for them to be re-sent as PDF. We're at a loss as to how to convert the photos to PDF!

Do you have a printer/? There is an option when printing to convert to PDF?

RockyRoadster · 28/05/2024 02:58

Scan them and save as a pdf

Gangstamummy · 28/05/2024 02:59

You said you had jpg files? If so as the PPs have said, you open the jog, go to print, and choose the pdf option from the printer menu.

GogAndMagog · 28/05/2024 03:00

You could take a photo with phone and do it that way, google it?

Lorna55 · 28/05/2024 03:11

Many thanks for all replies. Yes, we have a decent printer but it's linked to partner's laptop and it's temperamental, it won't seem to link to mine. I have photos of both tickets, which may be the easiest option but how to do it? I tried googling and ended up on various sites which do it for a fee but which don't have good reviews online.
Sorry if I sound dim, I'm in my 60s and only use my laptop for work rotas, socials, banking and shopping etc. I don't have Word on it.

I think you need to go to print, then set to print to file, and select file type .pdf. You could download the Acrobat app, you may then be able to save as a .pdf. I'm not sure how it works if you're on an android phone, but it's fairly easy on an iPhone.

Justawaterformeplease · 28/05/2024 03:25

If you have an iPhone, you can go to the Notes app, create a new note, select the camera icon at the bottom, then choose “Scan Documents.” Your phone will then scan and save them as a PDF and you can either upload them from your phone, or email them to yourself.

Lorna55 · 28/05/2024 03:31

Thanks for all replies. I'm doing it on my laptop, it's easier, my phone is android.
So I've opened the photo, gone to print, then PDF but nothing else is happening. I don't want to print the tickets, we already have them as e-tickets. I need them as PDF files to upload to Viagogo etc.
Think I'll end up trying to flog them outside the theatre at this rate!

Is it possible it has saved them as pdf? Have you tried searching for them? If you click on print to pdf and then click on ok it should save them.

tartancladpjs · 28/05/2024 03:41

When you open the jpeg by double clicking on your laptop it should open in preview.

Go to print in the menu, when the print dialogue box comes up you should have options if sized.

There should also be a drop down that will say "print to file" or "print to PDF" select this and A4 and save.

Take note of the save location could be desktop or downloads folder. Or other random location knowing a PC.

See if that works, is all else fails and you trust random on the internet I use Adobe acrobat daily and this is super simple for me to do and help with.

I would encourage finding logins though you can contact the ticket firm as I'm not sure a scanned printout will be crisp and sharp enough to scan the QR code, it may get rejected.

Thanks, I've just tried this but it goes as far as 'print to PDF' but the only option then is just to print it. No option for 'OK'.
Maybe I should get Adobe, as someone else suggested?

My next suggestion is to get a free app like "scan shot" look on your App Store from "photo to pdf"

There are apps that will let you take a pic and convert to PDF.

Then you can load, email that to your laptop. .

OneRealRosePlayer · 28/05/2024 04:47

Do.what you did. Go onto print and pdf. Then press print. It wont actually print them out but you will get a pdf file of the photos.

Or if you have a scanner you can try to scan them as a pdf.

Or find a local printing shop. They will do it for you.

marcopront · 28/05/2024 04:52

Do you have a pdf reader on your computer?

Just press print and it will ask you where to save it as a pdf- it won’t actually print if you’ve selected print to pdf.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 28/05/2024 06:07

If you have photos you can go to ilovepdf.com and it will convert them.

Lorna55 · 28/05/2024 12:10

Thanks everyone. I'll try again the suggestions again today and if I still can't do it I'll find a print shop.

My concern would be if this is a copy of the original, might it be detected at the point of entry and your purchaser denied admission?

The gig was 6 months ago!
