Which printer for an iMac?

If you use an iMac and have a printer you are happy with please tell me.

I am the technically useless kind that wishes I could just do away with the whole wifi thing , just plug in a printer and press 'print'.

I have tried to connect my Cannon Pixma to it on several occasion over 5 years, but have failed. I am not going to try again and I'm fed up walking 20 minutes to the printers every time I need something. Yes, I am quite stupid in this area and the instructions are like a different language to me.

I'm presuming all printers make you go through this process now, but if you have used a very simple printer that is super easy to set up please let me know. I only need it for simple black and white A4 docs, nothing else and nothing fancy. Thanks.

if you only need black and white, I would recommend a basic laser printer. Such as

HP Laser jet Pro 4002dw £220
Has double sided printing, connects via USB, wi-fi or ethernet, so you could plug it into a hub or router

I have the colour version it's been excellent with Macs, PC's.

Which Mac OS do you have?
A Canon PIXMA will be a good printer and some are inexpensive.
BUT you have to check on whether or not its software is compatible with your Mac's OS.
I just had to ditch a wonderful PIXMA because Canon weren't upgrading their software to work with the latest Mac OS.

Doesn't matter what printer you get just make sure it's on same home network as your Mac and it'll work.
