I purchased a MacBook Pro in November 21 with a two year guarantee. Unfortunately 2 months out of guarantee the screen went black. It cost 2599 and now being told it will cost 900 to repair. Do I have any consumer rights . John Lewis says I have no rights it's two months out of date

Try the money saving expert website and also their forum. They have good advice on consumer rights.

Thank you for your advice. I went to John Lewis today who tried to fob me off saying i needed proof the fault was inherent with the lap top. I told them my rights and after much going and forward I accepted for a repair which would have cost me 960 pounds. They kept telling me that the 2 year warranty had run out to go back to Apple . I stood my ground and accepted repair . Thanks again for advice
