Laptop with Remarkable feature

I'm a self employed therapist and I really want to go paperless. I have been looking into using a remarkable because I like the idea of writing rather than typing and I like that I wouldn't have to open it up like a laptop but it doesn't seem very secure and seems like a lof of money for not many features.

Is there a small laptop that has the same writing feature as a remarkable?

I currently have an android phone and use Microsoft on my PC.

Lots of my colleagues use an iPad and Apple Pencil for notes. It seems to synch ok with Microsoft systems on their computers. Some of them have a paper like screen covering.

I've been looking at their set up as I also want to move to digital notes.
