iPhone 15? Or 14?

Dropped my old iPhone (XS) and the screen shattered. Paid for a replacement screen at a phone repair shop that is a piece of crap then realised it’s probably time for a new phone anyway.

Have heard the 14 has battery issues and that the 15 has all kinds of problems since launching!

Anyone got experience of these models, and would recommend (or not!)?

Got a 14 a few months ago after an XR and am happy with it. Battery seems ok, at the moment at least, it lasts through the day with fairly heavy use. Very easy transition - was maybe a bit disappointing that it’s not more different. The major change is a much better camera

DD and i both have iPhone 14. Camera is excellent and the battery lasts all day no matter what you are doing. Unless you have a very old iPhone that won’t update you won’t necessarily see a lot of difference but everything transferred from the cloud in minutes.

DH got the new 15 pro max last week and hasn't had any of the reported problems with the handset. He had an XR before and said the camera is so much better and the processing speed is so much faster.

The 15 would be the better choice as it will have a longer supported life. The issues seem to be more with the pro models from what I can see. The 15 is being very well reviewed in the tech community and has a lot of the features of the 14 pro from last year. I also think the design is much nicer. So if it was me I'd go 15 and then decide between the 6.1 and 6.7" versions.

Thanks all! Decided to go for the 15 for longevity and because it was not much difference in price in the end! Really appreciate your replies :)

Oh I’ve just been thinking about this as the 14 is about £10 cheaper a month/
will probably go with the 15 though
