A cheap tablet for work calls

That's basically it! Do you use a tablet for work calls? I work from home and spend ages on Google Meets, Teams, etc and use my laptop. It's a right pain if I have to also read/take/type notes, as I have to cut away from the video call to open another doc and then can never find the right window again to resume the call. Also, I was interviewing last week and realised I must have looked like I was giving the candidates a weirdly intense stare as I typed while they spoke...

I don't want to spend a lot as I'll literally just use it for video calls.

Could I use an Amazon Kindle (fire?)? Or is that mainly good just for kids' watching YouTube?

Am I asking too much to think I could get something for less than £100? I've trawled the internet but got v. confused. Any pointers are very gratefully received! :)

You could get a second screen to plug into your laptop? Makes it a lot easier to do lots of things when you have two screens.

I have Teams etc on my phone and just use that. If the Teams meeting has presentations/content on screen then that may not be as good for you because obviously small screen, but using my phone and not being on video means I can be mobile when on calls too. I often have 2-4 Hr calls where no one is on video and I will sometimes go for a walk while I'm on them because if I don't then I lose focus.
