Can I access an iCalendar on Android?

I need some advice about phone calendars. The situation is this: I have an Android phone (perfectly happy with it; no wish to switch to iPhone) and use Google Calendar. I have separate calendars for myself and each of the kids, and can see them all on one calendar.

DH and his siblings all use iCalendar (or whatever the Apple one is called). They have a big joint calendar that they're all on, so DH can't change it. The problem is twofold, I guess: firstly, I can't access DH's calendar because of the Android/Apple thing, and secondly, his only calendar is the family one, and I don't want to add it because it has all his siblings' appointments etc on it which will just add clutter.

I'd like to access his calendar just so I know when his days off are etc (he has a job where he doesn't get to pick his working days as such; he has to work certain days and not others, unless he books holidays), and also I'd like him to be able to see when the kids have things on. He never has a clue when the kids are off school, or have dentist appointment S or anything like that (but is fully up to date on his sister's MOT appointments and his brother's evenings out).

I think he'd be willing to create his own calendar on Apple, and then presumably he could share it with his siblings and they could still see it; but could he also share it with me? And is there a way that he can add my Google Calendars to his Apple calendar?

As I say, I don't think using a third app is an option; he won't leave Apple calendar, and I can't use it because I don't want to switch from Android.

Any suggestions?

Your husband realises how weird and unreasonable he is being preferring to share calendars with his siblings rather than his wife right?

Anyway it's perfectly possible for him to share his icalendar with you he just has to go into his settings and share a link. If you use Google calendar on your android it can also be synced/shared with his Icalender in a similar way so he can toggle it so he can see the details on his ical.

On my Google calendar which is synced with a few other calendars it has little coloured dots next to the event to indicate which calendar the event originated from.

Thank you, @Iudncuewbccgrcb, that's helpful. I can't find the option to share my calendar though - on my phone I open the calendar app and go to settings, but I can't see anything to share. Do I need to be on the web version maybe?

I don't think he has the faintest clue that it's weird to have a shared calendar with his siblings and not his wife and kids. At one point he was putting all my appointments etc into the shared calendar, until I found out and asked him not to; he was genuinely bemused as to why I didn't want that.

Looks like I need to do it from a browser then - thanks! That's good to know!
