Get TV to work

Help please. Teen Daughter was given a used TV.
her room does have a sky cable but I don’t pay the BBC licence anymore so I can’t risk breaking the law.
there is no telephone line upstairs, can something connect wirelessly? We have an Xbox connected wirelessly downstairs where we can watch Netflix etc, if I got another one could that work?

Have a look at Chromecast - a little "dongle" that goes in the back of the telly and let's you watch anything on the telly that you can get on your phone, eg Netflix via the app.

My understanding is that too watch any "broadcast" TV you do need a licence. That includes Sky and BBC iPlayer.

yes exactly, so I can’t use sky and we do t use i player either, just Netflix and prime
