Moving from Android (with a smashed screen) to iPhone

Morning all
I have a Samsung S10 and have smashed the screen, so it just flickers green lines.
I have decided to go back to an iPhone. I have spoken to Apple and they say the only way to transfer the contacts, photos etc is by downloading an app, but it has to be downloaded onto the Samsung.
Can anyone think of another way??
Obviously the screen on the Samsung is totally unviewable, so not even sure how I can unlock it.

Please help if you can

Not a technician but can you do something with your gmail account? I think all your data is saved within that. I wouldn't worry too much as I used that app when I switched over and most of it didn't work and was then overwritten by my old iPhone data anyway.

There seems to be many options for getting the data off the Samsung: www.anyrecover.com/android-recovery/samsung-data-recovery-broken-screen/#:~:text=Use%20OTG%20USB%20Connect%20Your%20Broken%20Samsung%20to%20Recover%20Data,-If%20your%20screen&text=Connect%20the%20OTG%20cable%20to,and%20recover%20data%20on%20it.

And I guess that there are options (iTunes perhaps?) for then transferring it to an iPhone. At least if you can rescue it from the Samsung, all is not lost.

Thanks to you both. I'll have a go. Fingers crossed something works!

Irrelevant but something to take note of. DP used my email address to sign up for something as he already had an account that I used and since then his phone is my Google check in - so he gets notifications if I log in to something and has to verify and gets all my emails and phone numbers I add in my iPhone save to his Samsung. Some kind of voodoo. I tried to log him out a few times and nothing.

Unfortunately no significant other that's logged in.
But crikey, it's a good job you're not playing around, or you'd be busted!!

If you had a google account all the contact information should be in there. If you put an SD card in the phone, rather than relying on the phones memory, you photos are probably there. If not, you might be able to get them back by plugging it into a PC, although if you have a password on your lock screen you might still be stuck (try putting it in "blind").

If all else is lost, and you're willing to get the cables to do it they can be hooked up to a TV:

Actually, I would recommend getting a hub to do this (like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125764286053, check compatibility with the seller), because then if it turns out the touchscreen is also dead you can plug in a mouse.

Thank you so much. I need to sit down and try the options.
Thanks for your advice 😁
