Junk mail and Hotmail

Have had a Hotmail account forever. Until recently the junk filter has been great, very little unsavoury stuff getting into my inbox. But the past 2 or 3 weeks it's like there is no junk folder. I am swamped with horrid emails and a lot of them written in really odd fonts etc which used to be a real indicator of spam.
I never open them, just block then delete. Anything more I can do?

I've just gone onto the paid version to see if it stops it (Outlook). It has improved by around 90% I'd say. It's £1.99 a month I think.

But the issue is the scammers. They just constantly change email addresses so blocking them is absolutely pointless so annoying.

Me too. Literally hundreds a week, mainly gambling. I used to do a quick check every few days to make sure nothing I wanted had accidentally ended up in junk, it’s no longer feasible as it takes too long.

I don't get that many but the ones I do get are annoying. Is there a problem with Hotmail lately?

Thanks for the replies. Right well I won't bother blocking any more!
Will give it another week or 2 and if still no improvement may go for the paid version

I have had the same with Outlook recently. I think it takes a while for the spam programs to catch up when new spammers bombard us so I would keep reporting.
