Keep losing internet - Vodafone

Vodafone internet keeps dipping on and off mostly off. Red internet button flashing. I've unplugged and reset the router but to no avail. I've checked for any issues in area but there aren't any. All wires are correct. Tried to call Vodafone but you can never get through and have to talk to a robot who doesn't understand what I mean. It's been reported to technical team but I don't hold out much hope of it being fixed. My dd is autistic and relies heavily on her iPad she's very upset. Has this happened to anyone else here and how did you get it working again ?

You can report outage online with Vodafone I'm sure.

I had this with Vodafone. They sent an engineer out. It turned out my external line was damaged. Still waiting for my compensation though! They offered us unlimited data to Vodafone mobile phones in the meantimr but only one us had a Vodafone phone. Can you hot spot her iPad in the meantime to your phone if you have unlimited data? That’s what we had to do with TVs laptops etc for the FOUR WEEKS it took to fix.

Sorry I should say I also had no hope on technical team but they did get back in timeframe they say they will

Have you got an iPhone or Android?

On an iPhone here

once you’ve turned it on your phone then you can go to wi fi settings on the iPad and Tv and select the hot spot.

I was surprised at how fast the TV signal was I thought because it was bigger it would be slow taking internet via my phone but apparently that’s not how data works 😂 If you haven’t got unlimited data you’ll have to keep a close eye on that

How to set up a Personal Hotspot on your iPhone or iPad

A Personal Hotspot lets you share the mobile data connection of your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular) when you don’t have access to a Wi-Fi network.

As cheap as some ISPs can be, i use BT because they fix stuff and are relatively easy to get hold off, also, they'll haggle on price if you ve been with them a while and threaten to leave, just renewed on 29.99 200mg fibre, unlimited calls and guaranteed service with an EE mobile hub if fibre fails.

Sure there are horror stories but less than with other ISPs.

After 30 years working in Telecoms, VM and Vodaphone ar among the worst, so if you are out of contract with Voda, change ISP.
