I took DS's phone to be mended - completely smashed and unreadable screen. The phone screen has a pattern lock on it too. We changed the backup email and phone number for google to my email/phone the night before but the phone itself was logged into google chrome.
DS is only 13 and doesn't have much of note on his phone - the HSBC app but that is pretty secure I think (I've warned him not to save passnumbers anywhere).
The shop had the phone for about 5 hours before I went back to confirm the mend and at that point they gave me the SIM card.
When I was going through some security stuff on chrome from my laptop, it said son's google account on that device was active 2 hours previously (ie when shop had it). How much might they have gleaned and what can I do when we get it back to minimise any hacking?
I have used this shop before but they fixed the previous phone in 20 minutes with no lasting ill effects. Thanks for any help you can give.
