I5 is newer and faster

@myheartmyhead Thank you. How about memory ? we only need for daily use and may be store some photos. Was looking at 1tb but not sure do I really need it?

Really depends on what you are going to be using it for.

Casual emails, social media, banking and light document use, you'll be fine with i3.

Heavy on documents, using cloud service and things 5-7days a week then i5.

Big bulky spreadsheets and specialist software you'll want i7.

Gaming is another conversation entirely.

Plenty.
I have a Samsung all in one. I3, 1tb storage, running windows 11
Perfect for day to day stuff, apprenticeship work, zoom, social media and watching Netflix etc

Again, are you wanting to store photos on the PC or do you use OneDrive or googledrive?
How many photos?

Doesn't make too much difference you can always get external storage and or USB drives to just store things.

Memory is mostly about running software apps etc.

@Phoenix9 its just old photos we have in memory stick and current photos we use icloud. But I can keep in memory stick but DH is like it has to be in computer. I get your point thats its memory for apps. It has provided some clarity

it's the probably the least secure place to keep things. Considering you wouldn't have remote access to the computer if it died suddenly, or it was stolen, then all your precious photos would be gone.

I'd always recommend keeping a back-up of things you want to keep, weather that's cloud or USB/external storage

@Phoenix9 Yeah, you're right. Well i have placed an order. Went for i5, 8gb RAM , 512gb storage Asus brand
