Strange iPhone problem.

Friend of mine has bought an iPhone. The problem is this. He is not getting text alerts when i text him. He IS getting the texts. But his phone rings normally when i call him. He IS getting both the text alerts and texts when his family text him. Does anyone here know why this is.

Go into notifications and under iMessage check everything looks ok there?

Have you got an iPhone aswell?
