New email address

The address I have used for decades is now being withdrawn by phone coop, so I need to create a new address that will drop into my Outlook Express.

Not sure how I achieve this. I have a gmail address but use that for a specific purpose.

I don't want to lose Outlook Express as so much is saved in folders on there.

All advice gratefully received.

If you've got Outlook Express, you must have a Microsoft account. Use that email address.

You're thinking of Outlook and its more modern derivative. Outlook Express iirc only allowed you to access an email account already set up with another provider.

That being said, all the messages are stored on your PC, so you should be fine to add another new account and sync it while still retaining access to your old emails - though the old one won't recieve any new mail. You'll have to set up a new account with another provider (like Gmail or Outlook.com) though

A couple of year ago, there used to be tools around to "migrate" from Outlook Express to Outlook.com, taking old emails and contacts with you, so it may be worth looking to see if they're still available (probably just google "Migrate Outlook Express".)
