Kids Apple app requests not coming through

Recently the kids' requests for app requests from their iPhones haven't been coming through to me for approval as a notification. I've been checking the Notification Centre and nothing is there. This is happening probably 50% of the time. Any ideas much appreciated as it's driving them (and consequently me) a bit frantic.

Have you tried turning your phone off and back on again then getting the kids to resend their approval request? Sorry if that sounds v basic but it works for us when this happens - took us ages to work out that fixed it. It’s very annoying!

Similar issue here. I'm getting the message requests but not as a notification, but as a text message. The text also goes to my husband (like as a group message) but he can't see it!

Do you have a MacBook or iMac? I find they go there 🤷‍♀️ but don't show on my phone. Seems Apple haven't resolved it

either check if your phones need a software update or if they’ve had one, you might need to check your screen time settings haven’t reset themselves

I have this problem too, I always end up turning off ‘ask to buy’ to download the app then turning it back on again so my DS can’t download anything himself. Annoying

Thanks all! They were sitting on my MacBook so I have a quick fix while I try the other suggestions!

You can approve in person on their home. We have this problem and this is the quickest solution. They need to be in App Store and on the full app screen when requesting, not the pop up one. Then the request in person link for the parent appears.

I have this and we’ve tried everything. Usually I just turn it off for 5 minutes but tonight that didn’t work either as it still kept saying she needed to ask me. We ended up turning off and on a million times
