Omg what have I done 😭

Hi , I forgot my Apple password today and after a lot of frustration (silly I know) factory reset my phone to find to my horror that all my photos weren’t uploaded to iCloud
Ive lost the lot omg I’m so upset
is there really no way of retrieving them ?
can anyone advice my hasty actions 😂

Can't you login to icloud via a web browser on a laptop? If you've forgotten your login password there will be a way to get it back and login - just go to icloud.com and click on the link Forgotten your Apple ID or password? - until you log in to your iCloud account I can't see how you could know that your photo's haven't been backed up - if you've done a factory reset you have probably created a completely new icloud account which obviously will look empty, i.e. no photos. I'm not sure if you will be able to get your old icloud account back if you have done a factory reset and now have a new account linked to your phone - a factory reset is a pretty drastic action. I'm sorry - it's an upsetting mistake - don't give up hope. Can't you contact Apple directly or go to whoever you have a phone contract with - they will have seen this kind of thing before. Thankyou for your reply but my iCloud remained the same but is empty and I didn’t have my phone set to automatically save to iCloud
I’ve got an appointment with apple tomorrow doubt that they can do much
hard lesson learnt 😭
