Okay so I am really confused with iCloud and device storage because I'm really confused.
So basically I have an iPhone. I've had an Apple device since I had the blackberry in like 2012 or something 🙈 so as you can imagine I have quite a lot of photos stored on my phone. I think it's something in the region of around 40,000 🤷🏼♀️
Anyway, I get really confused with iCloud. I don't think I'm maximising my storage space properly at all. I don't know how to get things off my phone and onto the iCloud. Some appears to automatically be on iCloud, but the storage on my phone is really low and when I check the storage it's because of photos.
The other issue that I have is that I have an iPad. My son uses the iPad. It's linked to my Apple ID so that I can keep my Apple Music and find my iPhone et cetera all on it. But I'm having the same issue. Once I linked the two devices together all of the photos I've downloaded on the iPad and now there is no storage for him to download any apps. I followed the instructions online about automatic uploads to iCloud, I've packed it up most recently but it is still chockablock full and there is no space. I just don't know what to do. I don't know how to create more space on these devices and I'm paying for something like 2TB of iCloud storage so I just don't understand. Can anybody advise?
I don't want to delete all of the pictures off my iPad because I'm worried about them deleting off my phone. I'm just so confused and I don't know what to do.
I've attached an image of what the iPad is saying regarding the storage.
