Have I lost my WhatsApp chats for good?? 😫
In process of setting up a new phone, including transferring my number to the new sim. That won't complete till sometime tomorrow
Because I'm impatient daft I installed WA on the new phone but continued to verify it using original number (toggling between new device and old device). When it didn't install properly I deleted the app from the new phone but then when I reinstalled it in the original phone, it wouldn't restore the backup. Again because I'm impatient daft I decided just to 'skip restore' and now I'm on WA again with all the chat groups in place but absolutely no chat history at all.
Have I lost them forever? When the number transfer completes, will I somehow be able to restore the old backup again? Helppppp....
