Burning home movies to DVD?

Hi there

About 5 years ago, I used imovies to piece together all the little videos we had of my LOs. It was so easy and then I burned it to a DVD so they could watch it on the TV - which they still love to do all these years later.

So now I have a heap more home videos and thought I’d try and make another DVD. All went fine on imovies until I tried to burn to DVD. Apparently, you can no longer do this. (I tried several times and all that goes in the DVD is sound and no image.)

Does anyone have an alternative way to burn these videos to DVD please? It doesn’t have to be apple based, I have access to a PC too. I don’t mind starting the movies again, I just want to piece the clips together, put some dates and titles on the clips and then burn to DVD.

I have tried searching, but I’m not really that tech savvy so not really sure what I am looking for.

Thanks for any advice.
