Hi technical people,

I've been looking at mini macs and wonder two things:

Is a 2014 one okay to buy, refurbished? Will it cope with upcoming operating system updates?

Which type of monitor does it need?

Mac minis are great. A friend of mine has one and I would certainly look at getting one once my old MacBook gives up the ghost. Buying a refurbished one should not be an issue really; does it come with some sort of warranty?

As far as monitors are concerned, most monitors should work. I've had a quick look and the 2014 model has a lot of ports that work with most modern or old monitors (HDMI or thunderbolt connector). You can always ask the shop you are getting it from if you can test before buying it. Do you have a monitor, keyboard and mouse already?

Not sure if it will cope with upcoming operating system updates, that is always a gamble with older equipment, but it isn't listed as obsolete on the apple system yet so you should still be ok.
