Kindle fire time limits with minecraft help

Hi, I've set an hour limit on both daughters' kindles but despite this they are still able to play minecraft for over an hour. How can I restrict this?

Also are there any free books I can put on them without signing up to Fire kids?

Ideally I want them to read for 15 mins before playing games but money is really tight so I don't want to have to pay for anything on there. We have a house full of books but they like to read on their kindles too.

Thanks Smile

Just remove the kindles after an hour? Let them read real books and make the kindle for play only.

In terms of the free ebooks I do not have a kindle so I am less familiar with how you could load the files onto the tablet. Most free ebooks tend to come as PDF files which don't handle as well as the file types used by Amazon for their books. Also in searching for children's free ebooks you are obviously going to have an even more limited selection. To begin with though I would take a look at a forum on reddit.com with the link reddit.com/r/freeEbooks

Treat most websites which offer free ebooks with extreme caution and make sure your anti-virus is up to date. With the site I mentioned above the top posts will in theory be ones which people have voted on to say that the information given is accurate.

I'll take a look at time restriction options on the tablet side. However again as I do not own a kindle I'm not sure what I will be able to dig up.
