Any idea what this is/does?

This doodad came with my tele two years ago but never needed it so never used it. Just found it again and have long lost the booklet. Tried googling parts that came with my tele but to no avail... any idea? I'm curious

Looks like something I have, and set up. Something to do with remote controls for different devices but I can't remember what now.

It's an infrared repeater. It's for hiding away sky boxes and DVD players but still being able to control them
