Watching catch up tv - Adblock complications

Have Adblock on computer. When I watched 4 catch up, or whichever, it used to work when I paused Adblock to let the adverts through. Now, pausing it makes no difference. It still insists I can't watch it because I have an Adblocker. I have tried adding channel 4 etc to Allowed lists, and I'm either not using the right code, or its just not working! Any advice please? TIA.

1. What do you mean by pausing it? You just switch it of...
2. You have to refresh the window after you switched of AdBlock otherwise the adds are not getting through (not suppose anyway) and the browser still "give a signal" that it's having AdBlock on.

It gives me the option to pause it, which I assume means for this thing that I want to watch now, it doesn't give me an option to stop it, other than if I go and uninstall it presumably. I think I have sorted it now though, by giving up with the Adblock Plus that I also installed and forgot about. Thanks for replying and the advice about refreshing.
