How do I turn them off? Its driving me mad. Dont need a notification every time someone posts.... Help!!

Every time you post un-check "Watch this thread" box.
With the old threads - visit it and do the same. I don't know whether you should post or not. Just try to un-check without posting. If it doesn't work, then do it with posting something to that thread.
