Would someone be able to tell me how I can uninstall skype and also Avast as my browser. I have tried the usual parameters for uninstalling sites but a box comes up with do you want to update it - no I want to uninstall it.

I didn't ask for it to be installed in the first place so I have no idea why I've got it.

You should be able to uninstall them from control panel if it is installed properly in you computer. Just Open Control Panel, click on Programs > Programs and Features and uninstall Skype. I do it all the time.

To remove avast Click on Settings, in the Settings window, click on Components and Under Security, scroll down until you see SafeZone Browser, double click on it and hit ‘Uninstall Component‘.
