Hi, wondered if anyone knows if there's a way of altering the name of a payee on an online bank statement please?
Don't want to change any of the figures just the name of the payee - hope someone can advise

No of course not as would be fraudulent- if you download to excel you could create a fake statement

You can't. You could change for future statements, but not previous ones.

You are much, much better to just explain why the payee reference is what it is, rather than edit it. Editing it or creating a fake would be fraudulent.

Is it an embarrassing reference or are you trying to hide someone's identity? In some very unique cases you can get legal protection to block out that info but it won't apply to most cases.
