Not sure what to make of this....porn related.

Hi.
DH and I have been married for 14 years and have 2 dc aged 10 and 5.
He is away with work ATM but back this evening.
Both dc have iPads which we all use - I am using ds1s now.
I just went onto the search bar and typed in skynews and a porn site came up - called U-porn mobile.
I didn't take too long a look but it's looked pretty explicit.
Am now wondering who the hell has been looking at it?
Ds1 (10) or dh?
Dh and I haven't been having sex much recently - due to illness and a family bereavement - but surely he doesn't need to do this?
No idea what to do/how to tackle this.
Need to ask dh if it's him obv, if not then it must be ds1?
I can't see how I can have done it...it wouldn't be advertised on the sky news website would it!?

Never had a porn pop up unless someone has accessed porn. Just doesnt happen.

Badvoc just to let you know, this has just happened to me using my ipad for sky news too. I live alone, my ipad is never used by anyone else. No chance that anyone has viewed porn on it, yet that pop up is there. Very disconcerting for people with children that this can happen.

Yes it is worrying.
I checked the browsing history crumpet...nothing til I accessed the sky news website this afternoon.

This happened to me on Sunday. I was using wiki for something on the iPad & a porn site appeared on the browser tabs Shock

I've just tried sky news again and it's not happening now. I do agree that it's odd - I know ads are usually linked to previous browsing.

If you use torrent sites, free tv streaming sites or anything like that you get porn pop-ups all the time. I know this as I have quite honestly NEVER searched for porn and I get them loads (my laptop was new)

They're only usually sex-buddy types sites, or "look at my boobs...click here" type things...you have to click on the links to see explicit things and I never do. Obviously if it comes up in the search bar and does the "predictive text" thing, then it's something that's been searched...well it is if you use Chrome anyway.

The kids do watch videos on you tube? (Cbeebies etc) Is that the sort if thing you mean?
It was called u-porn mobile. You had to click to see anything but what I saw looked quite explicit.
I have gone back over 2 weeks on the browser history and nothing...it only showed up this afternoon when I tried to access the sky news website.
As it's happened to others too I am confident that's it's not dh or ds1. For a start, dh would know I could check the history. And ds1 doesn't use it that much and we are always present when he does. Neither dc has unrestricted screen time.
Even on you tube I tend to sit next to them so they don't watch anything unsuitable by mistake.

This happened to me, yesterday!

My ipad, no one else uses it, same website.

Revolting image of a woman giving a blow job! I was only following a link to a story about the transsexual man who was assisted to die.

I've now put restrictions on my own ipad because it was vile!

This happened on our iPad earlier this week too. Bizarre. We have pop ups blocked too. Ours was a different porn site to yours.

Do...that's the one I had too...it was gross :(
Have put the restrictions on but tbh the dc tend to only use it for things like you tube and gaming.

I meant same website as in u- porn! I'm not a prude well I might be but it horrified me. I said to DH, it's like watching Great british bake off and a porn film pops up! it's so out of context it's vileShock

DH has had it this week on his ipad too.

I followed the same link to the original news story where the pop up happened on my android phone and it didn't happen.

So glad it's not just us........

Yes Badvoc it was u porn. I was using Chrome btw. Tried Safari and it was fine. Went back to Chrome again and it's not happening now.

Exactly the same here, it was a blow job and the 'film' title was 'something slut', obviously I didn't leave it open long enough to see any more.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the ipad!

It's not happened in the few years I've had it until this latest update!

DH has had it with 2 websites, a music one and one he was looking up for ds1 about minecraft!

The restrictions are weird, I had to put in my Number to access an arts and crafts thread todayGrin but hopefully I won't be seeing any more unsolicited genitalia!

Not youtube, they're very legit. The sites where you can watch TV shows (Breaking Bad, things like that) for free etc. They're not all illegal, but they do have to have loads of stupid links and ads etc on them to make them worth running I think.

Thank god for that, was worried your ds might've seen it. Guess their website has a virus, seems v unusual.

Not due to IOS 7 as we haven't done the update. I thought it was a different site, but actually the description of the page sounds the same.

Omg like an idiot I just went onto sky to see, started reading a news story and then the blowjob picture popped up! This is really terrible, if its happening so frequently someone must know about it and be trying to sort it out?
