Piercing infection help!

I had my daith pierced 2 weeks ago and was all going fine then all of a sudden it got infected 24 hours ago. I’ve got some antibitoics from the doctors, using saline spray on it and just leaving it and holding a warm compress over the area. Can I do anything else? It’s really painful and is affecting my inner ear and stopping me sleeping! Just want the pain gone!

Maybe try some betadine?

That looks so sore. Did you change anything at all? Is it oozing blood or pus? I’d speak to your piercer but as a dr I’d give the antibiotics 48 hrs to work and if it’s not getting any better I’d take it out. It’s hard to see but is it a clicker or a titanium ball piercing? I have my ears pierced many times and only 1 got infected like that: it had to come out

what’s your after care routine like? How were you cleaning it ? Were you using a sterile saline spray? Take some ibuprofen and paracetamol to get the pain away but ultimately it might not get better til the piercing iS out.

So I contacted the doctors and have been in antibiotics a couple of days and it’s so much better doesn’t hurt at all now, I still have the bumps but no pjs or anything. It was a titanium ball ring not a clicker, I’m using Neil med spray twice a day and was leaving it,
not sleeping on it or anything, was all fine then came up so quickly but definitely getting better

This stuff is amazing. It actually doesn't look hugely infected but obviously very uncomfortable. Saline spray it really well a couple times a day then use this oil stuff, it sorted out all my angry bumpy cartilage piercings and helped new ones heal more quickly. Also get a donut pillow to take the pressure off it at night if youre a side sleeper, makes it so much more comfy. But the oil is an absolute game changer!
