Inside elbow tattoo pain?

I know it is person dependent but does having a tattoo on the inside of your arm just above or just below the elbow bend really hurt?

I'm getting my second tattoo. It's only little but it's in colour. I have another bigger tattoo on the inside forearm which was ok grtting done but getting it touched up a few weeks later hurt like anything. 🤷‍♀️

I have a large inner forearm tattoo, a little bit of it does go into the crease of my elbow bend - this did smart quite a bit and its only a teeny tiny area!

Inner elbow / elbow pit is probably one of the most painful places you could pick, inside of upper arm is a bit better but still more painful than outer arm / forearm. This is a very broad general rule though and each person's pain threshold and experience will vary. You could ask your artist how they feel about numbing cream if you are worried, some don't like them because they think it affects ink absorption but they may well have a brand they are happy for you to use.

I have a tiny little skull just below the curve of the elbow on the inside of my forearm and a dragonfly just below that. It wasn't too bad no more or less painful than the anchor I have at the top of my back.

I didn’t find it painful (have both sleeves done). It was the outside just by my elbow bone that hurt the most!

Never had issues with 'the ditch' as it's known, but it was a bit trickier to heal owing to the movement. By far the most painful place for me, and i'm heavily tattooed, was the inside of the top of my arm below the armpit. Stung a little that one

I didnt get it done in the end.

He said that the design I wanted wouldnt work well in the area because the movement would distort it and make it look wonky. He said he would do it but obviously wasn't happy about it and he is very experienced and specialises in what I wanted, so I decided to listen to him.

I didnt know where else to put it so I've decided to leave it for the time being.

Dont worry, I still paid him for his time. Not as much as a tattoo but more than enough for his time and he seemed happy with the amount.

How wonderfully refreshing to hear you found what appears to be a bloody good artist OP!
Cherish them, they're quite a rare beast.

I'm sure when you're ready for something he'll be there to help.
