Hi,

I had a tattoo on Wednesday, The second skin has lifted off at the edge. Should I take it off? It's leaking at the edge. I was told to leave it on for 5 days? Thanks for any advice

I think the best bet would be go back to the artist shop and ask them.
You don't want to risk damaging the work that's been done by removing the protection to soon.

It's obviously to late to go this evening ( presuming your in the UK) so I'd stick the loose edge down with microporous tape / paper butterfly stitches or whatever you have that'd work .

Do you have any more? I have always been told to keep the first one on for 24 hours, then change for a new one. After that I leave on as long as possible, but have changed where edges have pulled up etc and it has been fine.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I can't go back as it was done in Edinburgh and I live in England. Thanks for the advice re micropore, I've taped it down and ordered some more dermalize from Amazon.

Thank you for answering, The first one leaked, was given a spare with I put on, also leaked. I've ordered more so will leave a bigger boarder round the edges.

Ah that's a bit of a trek to go back.
I see you have ordered more but perhaps you could give them a call today just to ask for there advice.

If you curve the edges when you put a new bit on, it doesn't curl up as easily - a tip I was given which seems to really work!
