Nipple piercing wonky

It took me a lot to pluck up the courage to get them both done, and I absolutely love them a year on, however one of them has heeled noticeably lopsided-sided. I really don't want to take it out and just have one in, I personally much prefer two but I really don't know what to do. I saw my piercer and she said as it's happened once it can be re done but will likely heel that way again 😫 I won't lie I also really don't want to go through the horrendous pain of having it done and start the heeling process all over again. But I really don't like the way it looks at the moment. Hubby says he can notice it's wonky but who cares, no one sees it but I do and I hate it. Thoughts??

Exactly how wonky are they really? It might be worth consulting another piercer. I am no expert but l fail to see why it should happen again if you have it redone as it were.

l think a single piercing can look nice though. I have a pierced nose (tiny stud) and gave up with a naval piercing after my body rejected it twice.

l’m going to have one nipple pierced, then if that is successful and heals well, l will then go for the second.

@StarlightLady Thankyou for replying x
I'm not exaggerating honestly it looks diagonal, it definitely didn't look like that when I got it done but she said because I sleep on that side it's why it happened? I'm just so gutted I love them x

OP, has this moved on at all or is it too early?

Lauren83 · 06/11/2024 09:21

I had mine redone after having it out for a few years and it left me with one nipple bigger than the other due to what I presume was scarring

@StarlightLady sorry I don't understand what you mean ?

I honestly don't know if I got unlucky with the scarring or if it's quite common, there was a big difference in sizes and I was really worried about breastfeeding incase they favoured one over the other!

I am the type to focus on something like that and want to fix it but I would be tempted to leave it if I was you, have you also considered if different jewellery may make it less noticeable? Not sure what you have but I imagine a ring may look less wonky than a bar for eg?

Sorry, re-reading what l wrote, I’m not surprised really. I meant do you still have both in with one wonky? Do you feel better about things?

I’ve had my belly button pierced twice and have had to remove it both times as it healed wonky. The same person who did my nose and ear piercings did them and I’ve not had a minutes problem with any others. Not sure I’d want to get somewhere as sensitive as a nipple done again just in case. I’ve got an obvious piercing mark and scar tissue from my failed ones.
