First tattoo

So have been planning my first tattoo since I had cancer. Can't have the pirate I wanted so have chosen a turtle as that's my favourite and it represents strength. DH is threatening divorce, please help x

He's threatening divorce because you want to get a tattoo?
Do you let him control everything about your own body or just that?

Tell him to fuck off then. My partner isn't a fan of tattoos but fully supported me when I wanted one, and then a 2nd, then a 3rd, you get the idea.

What exactly is his reason for being so ridiculous? Unless you're planning on having it right in the middle of your face, in which case he may have a point.

Is your DH threatening divorce in a jokey way or in a serious way?

When I was getting my tattoos, I did find some family members very much against it. However my DP was on board, so I can't share much advice.

Why can't you have the pirate you wanted?

I got my first tattoo as a 40th bday gift for myself. Dh doesn’t like tattoos. I didn’t care I got it anyway. He can get stuffed it’s my body, that’s what I think.

DHs can be replaced. Tattoos are for life.

Seriously, get the tattoo you want to get. I love all of mine so much, and I'm planning two more.

What you do with your body is completely up to you. Go for it!

The pirate was too big so chose the turtle but I'm not cancelling my appointment. It's ridiculous as I even asked my mum who said do what is best for you. It's been on my list since cancer. He's being ridiculous x

You could always get the turtle with a pirate hat and sword.

It turns out the tattoo artist advising me is not brilliant so I've found someone else so I should be able to get what I actually want.

My dh isn't a fan of tattoos either but he understands it's my body and my choice. He even bought me a tattoo voucher one Christmas. I now have 4 of them.

I took my DD's for a Helix piercing and 2nd piercings for DD2 and myself on Saturday and thankfully I mentioned having a tattoo done and the lovely piercing lady knew of the artist I was using and his history. My 2 DD's went from hating the idea to being supportive and DH although he keeps saying I'm F ing stupid he's dealing with it better.

I've just booked two more (already have three). Go for it! But prepare to become addicted 😁

I'm already planning my next one 😂
