Which way up?

I used to listen to Opeth on my way to college when I was 17.

I‘m now 36. I still love the band and I love their logo. The O is so beautiful.

I also have a scar on my arm I would like to cover.

My question is- if I get a tattoo on my lower inner arm, which way should it face? Should the bottom be by my wrist or by my elbow?

Sounds like a tattoo you will love! I would say to have the bottom at your wrist. I am no expert though so I’d be interested to see other people’s views.

A lot of tattoo artists won't do an upside down tattoo (so in your case, bottom of the O nearest your wrist) but having googled the logo, I think you could get away with it whichever way you prefer.

Both ways are fine, its just down to personal preference. If it was me I would have the bottom part by my elbow, so it is the right way up to me when I'm looking at it rather than it being the right way up for others looking at it - if that makes sense?!

I had this discussion when I last had a tattoo...which happened to be my deceased parents hand writing.

The tattooist was adamant it should be faving downwards, so it was able to be read clearly.

I stated it was my message from my parents to me so it should be the other way round so I could read it. It wasn't for anybody else!

Anyway, that's the way I had it as it's my tattoo!
