Tipping your Tattooist?

Worried I’ve made a social faux pas.
Do you tip after getting a tattoo?

I never have as mine isn't cheap for a day sitting. But I always take snacks and stuff, like donuts or cakes or something for them to eat

I usually do but i dont think there is an obligation as they are generally self employed and set their own pricing.

No. I love my tattooists but I don't tip them.

They charge between £400-£700 a day. They earn my monthly salary in a week.

I do take them gifts sometimes.

Never heard of people tipping tattoo artists and I have more than a few tattoos.

Rice has a fair few done and I've never tipped...

Tipping is generally for minimum wage workers who go above and beyond.

They're usually paid very fair so I don't think they need tips.
