Husband Pubic Area Tattoo

My hubby has a surgery scar from when he was younger in his pubic area off to one side. It's just a line now that is barely noticeable but think it must have always bothered him. He has mentioned getting a tattoo in this area to cover it and asked what I thought. I don't mine, I think it might look quite cool down there and would be covered by his underwear and swimwear anyway. Anyone else have a tattoo down in the area or have a view on this?

I don't think he has decided yet but something to fit the area / shape. He shaves down there so doesn't really have any pubes, but it would be off to the side in his pubes if he had some!

Mentioned in OP, it's really to cover over a scar he is conscious of.

There's an obvious non-tattoo solution to solve that....

As PP, though, normally you'd be conscious of a birthmark on your face or a big wart on your hand - where everybody could see it. How come he's so conscious of something that (presumably) only you and he regularly see - unless you're fans of German FKK colonies, of course?

I went to university with a man who had a tattoo of a dolphin diving towards his penis (he was also into removing pubic hair. The look wasn't appealing to me, but maybe it was a thing in the European aristocratic circles he mingled with.
Your husband's body, your husband's choice. I say grow pubes though, much nicer.

I have lots of surgery scars. Think Frankenstein's bride and that is me! I have looked into options for those on show...25cm on across my neck from 3 lots of vascular surgery is a beauty. I wouldn't have a tattoo because I know they start in one place and get saggy/ fade with age. So that awesome eagle I could have across my neck scar will probably look like a MacDonalds that has been throw up in 10 years from now. My boyfriend has a few on his arms from his youth. He hates them. I struggle to tell what they are 4 decades later if I am honest. Your husband could look into scar laser treatment which could be very effective at a laparoscopy/ hernia/ appendectomy scar (which is my random guess at what he had done).

like what? a hernia scar? honestly unless it gone keloid and massively thick i'd look at plastic surgery for the scar or laser treatment via a dermatologist before a tattoo.

This is such a weird post 😂 he has a tiny visible scar in an area that only he and you see yet he feels self conscious? Who does he feel self conscious in front of? You? And if so why not just stop shaving there? Id my DH man shaved and tattooed down I’d be really put off him 😂 be like being married to a porn star or something. But each to their own!

I still don’t understand how people shave without getting ingrown hairs but that’s for another thread.

I also don’t understand why the scar is such an issue, but his body is choice. I think you have to get a tattoo because you love something not because you hate it.

I picture him being hairless and muscly now. Difficult to offer an opinion if he doesn't know what to get. Cress head with pubes hair = no.

If you want to see pictures of similarly located tattoos I imagine Google images will offer many thousands more than MN posters.

That's just my opinion. I like well-executed tattoos, provided they’re on burly, bearded men.
