I'm thinking about getting my first (and probably only) tattoo. We recently lost our much loved cat so I'm seriously considering getting something to commemorate him.
I would want something fairly discreet that could be easily covered up. I'm also conscious that my weight tends to fluctuate a lot so Im mindful of that. I like the idea of having it on my foot or ankle but understand that's a really painful area.
He was a beautiful black and white tuxedo cat. He used to love our garden and would spend ages sniffing our flowers so I'm thinking of something of him next to some flowers - that way I could just get him done and maybe add the flowers later...? Or is that a terrible idea?

Grateful for thoughts and suggestions.

I got my first one on my shoulder blade as it can be covered up and a bigger area than an ankle or foot. It would be harder to get detail on a smaller limb. Thighs are also an area that can be covered easily

I think what you've said sounds lovely. I have a fairly small tattoo above my ankle and I love it. Lots of people don't know I have it but it's also very easy to wear something if I want people to see it. I didn't find the area too painful either.

PP is right that depending on the level of detail it might be difficult to fit on such a small area. But I'm sure a cat with a few flowers around will be easy for someone to design. I've found an image. Not saying you'll want something like this but I can easily imagine something of this size. www.tattooeasily.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/cat-tattoo-designs-11041614.jpg

Why don't you have a Google and find the kind of thing you would like?

I have pet memorial tattoos too.

A simple line drawing could be lovely.

You need to speak to a tattooist. Go down there with photos and your ideas. They will design you something.
