Eekkkk first tattoo

Been nosing at the posts on here for a while and today’s the day I’m finally getting my first tattoo at the grand old age of 36. I’m very excited and a teeny bit nervous.

On my back between my shoulder blades. Dh thinks it’s too big but I think it needs to be a decent size there.

Whats it going to be of? How exciting

I found the best way to relax is, when you feel it sting, don't concentrate on it, but instead think of all the other places in your body that aren't hurting. So wiggle your fingers and toes, etc.

Read, listen to a podcast, take a sweet drink and have a bar of chocolate before you go in to keep sugar levels up.

You'll be totally fine.

I’m really pleased with it. It was a bit ouch to start but got better as we went on. The very top in the middle at the bottom of my neck was also a bit tender. It’s mine, dh and kids birth flowers.

It's lovely! I'm 34 and thinking about booking in for my first tattoo too. I know where I want to go and what I want just haven't got to booking it yet
