lip piercing

I have wanted my lip pierced for years now. I am 38. Too old? I dont know why I feel like this as I have multiple ear piercings and my nose pierced but just not sure I can carry off a lip piercing at this age.

I'd say if you want it go for it! Soon it'll be like it was always there

In terms of carrying it off, I'd have no concerns at all. I have heard they ruin your teeth though, which is the ONLY reason I decided against getting mine done.

I was wondering about the teeth thing actually. Will do a bit more research into that but I am very tempted. Thanks for the replies.

If you get a vertical piercing then the jewellery doesn't go into your mouth so shouldn't affect your teeth.

Change it as soon as healed to bioplast. No worries re teeth then

Go for it.
I'm 34, and have had mine done since I was 16. Get a rubber back though, so you don't harm your teeth/gums. I've stupidly never had one, and whilst my teeth are fine, my gums have receded. The dentist says they're otherwise healthy but won't go back. Bit fucking annoying.

i have 3 lip piercings. i’m 45. i had the first one done at 20, and my teeth haven’t been affected at all...

I'm 38 and have had my lip pierced since I was 21, it only touched my teeth when tried wearing a labret bar so I always wear a ring, which I prefer anyway.
