Tattoos and Swimming

Finding lots of conflicting advice online so still clueless but how long should I wait after having a new tattoo to go swimming?
If it’s more than 2 weeks I’m going to need to cancel my tattoo booking for this week 😕

DH wants to book a few days away at end of August and swimming will feature at least once. I don’t have to swim but will if I can.

I was always told as long as it’s scabbed, you’re fine.

Tattooist has got back to me now and said the same thing as you.
Just hoping it takes less than 2 weeks to scab and heal. Thank you.
