Hi all, I got this tattoo when I was 18 and drunk Blush don't ask.... would love to get it 'fixed' so to speak, any ideas what to do with it? I'm at a loss, it just seems to be in an awkward place

Do you want it covered up or tweaked?

You could cover the stars with roses and have the vines retouched to refresh them?

MarsBarsAreShrinking · 15/01/2018 21:58

Even thought it's in an awkward place I think the components are small enough that having it re-done/re-worked could definitely work. As said above you could cover the stars with flowers and have the vines tidied up. It could look really amazing.

I actually really like the placement and think it could look really lovely with a more up to date design. Why don't you hit Pinterest and put in cuff tattoo, or something like floral cuff tattoo if you want to narrow it down. Might give you some inspiration. Print off a few designs that catch your eye, find an artist who's work matches and then see what they say about covering it...

I actually quite like the stars, I have stars on my wrist. Could you just add in something else around them, like flowers or something similar that you like, to update it and make it stand out a bit more?

Thanks for the replies! Definitely looking into having a floral pattern over it 🌸

A flower pattern coverup sounds like a nice idea. Otherwise I would have suggested tattoo removal. This company is really good: www.themcindoecentre.co.uk/treatments/skin/tattoo-removal/
But it sounds like you are planning something lovely! Be sure to post a picture when it's finished!

I think if you could afford to get it lightened slightly with laser, you'd have more options for a cover up. Otherwise you'd have to go quite bold and dark to cover those lines.
