What was your first tattoo?

What was your first tattoo? Where on your body is it? How old were you when you got it? Do you regret it?

Mine is this mendhi style elephant. I was 20 when I got it. I chose an elephant because they are symbols of luck, and I think I'll always need some of that . Mendhi is representative of the sort of person I was growing into in my late teens/early twenties, influenced by travel and my first degree.

I ask because I'm booked in for number two tomorrow and I want to talk all things tattoo

I don't have any photos of my first tattoo as it's since been covered up It was a slightly naff moon with a smiling face and a river running through it on my right shoulder. I loved it at the time... I was 18 and thought I was the bees knees! I never regretted it but I was very keen to get it covered up as it had dated terribly in the 25 years since I'd had it done. Numbers 2 and 3 are unfortunately equally as naff lol but I won't be bothering to cover those as they're in easily hidden places (top of thigh and small of back).

Mine was a red star on my hand It's awful

Mine was my name in Chinese writing on my arm. Then followed a week later by a naff hand drawn barb wire with a initial / letter of a member of a boy band hanging from it. I was 15 and stupid! But felt well cool at the time haha. No regrets it's part of my life story although last year it got changed into rosemary type beads.

A love heart on my breast I was about 16 0r 17.
