dwarf hamster - HELP

not sure what to do

a couple of times if have felt like scabs on our dwarf hamsters little head and thought maybe it scratched itself.

have just come in and gone to have a cuddle. his ear is really bleeding and hes still scratching it.

feel so sorry for him. what could it be? god im here in tears and dont know what to do for the best to help it.

could he have fleas or mites, something to make him scratch so badly to cause a scab?

Take him to the vet in the morning, I don't know that I'd put anything on it, as it might make it worse.

Is he by himself, could there have been fighting.

would he have had to get them from the shop we got him from - that must mean hes always had them

yes hes by himself. do you think it could be i havent cleaned the cage out enough?
