I just knocked over a cat 😭

Hi all,

I was driving to collect my little girl from school and I hit a cat. it literally ran out in front on me so I had no way of stopping. I pulled over and me and another lady stayed with it, but it died almost straight away 😭

I feel absolutely awful. The cat has a collar with its number on it and I’ve just told the owner, it was heartbreaking.

I have two kittens and lost a cat which was run over by a car. So I know what they are going through. I feel so sad for them.

I don’t know why I’ve come on here, I’m traumatised 😭😭😭

You stopped and notified the owner so you did as much as you could. Unfortunately, around 650 cats in the UK are hit by cars every day.

You did all you could by stopping & letting the owner know.

I’m so sorry, you must be in such shock.

But you did all the right things, checked the condition of the cat and then notified the owner.
