Poorly Guinea pig and holiday

We are due to go on holiday in a weeks time. One of our guinea pigs has a UTI. We had arranged for family to come in every day whilst we we are away to feed them. However getting the medicine into said guinea pig is stressful and takes all sorts of bribery to get him to have the antibiotics. I can’t really ask family to give antibiotics twice a day as it takes forever to get them in his mouth!

we have a choice to either cancel the holiday or put him in small pet boarding but I can’t imagine they’d take him now?
what would you do? DC are upset 😢

How long is the guinea pig on anti biotics. Won’t the course be finished in a week’stime?

Our vet offers small animal boarding. Does yours?

Definitely look into boarding - it would be such a shame for your family to miss out on their holiday because of such a small thing as a guinea pig with a UTI. There's a vet near us that has animal boarding and something like that would surely be ideal if medication needs to be given?
